Tijn Driessen's forthcoming EP "Schijn" is his solo debut for a worldwide audience. Set to break through the noise with a terrific balance of acoustics and electronics, he finds thàt range of frequencies that drape over you like a snug blanket. Just like a welcome breeze of fresh air making its way under covers that are just too warm. The piano clearly characterises his music, yet he found a gracious way of implementing the sound and nature of the instrument with influences he experienced in Belgian nightlife. The result is Schijn, a comforting soundtrack with a definite sense of belonging - just like you'd expect - in a family.
